Welcome to JMS-VAYTC

Jenkins Motor Sports Vocational Automotive Youth Training Center, Inc. (JMS-VAYTC) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization created to empower, mentor, and academically enrich the lives of low income at-risk youth between the ages of 16-24 in Alamance, Forsyth, and Guilford Counties, North Carolina.

JMS-VAYTC 's vision is to promote self-sufficiency, develop trade skills, and increase opportunities for success among young adults by offering free vocational training in the trades and skills required for automotive entry level positions to primarily under-served and under-represented populations and preparing studetns to earn their General Education Diploma (GED)* and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)* certification.

Erich Jenkins Jr. and Tamsin Jenkins founded JMS-VAYTC in 2009 to provide opportunities for under-served individuals to learn a marketable skill and to respond to the growing high school drop out rates in public schools.
